Born in São Paulo, he comes from a simple family that has always supported his dreams. Since he was a child, he has always loved Japanese culture. Not having any ancestry was no obstacle for Éder to pursue his dream of going to Japan to study Japanese culture.
Relentless in his search for more knowledge, Éder came across Japanese cuisine and fell in love. Since then, he has intensified his studies in this art and met the Michelin-starred chef Tsuyoshi Murakami, who invited him to spend a day with him behind the counter, a day that made a huge difference in his pursuit of the art of sushi.
In early 2017, he got his first job at a Michelin-starred restaurant in São Paulo, where he worked as an assistant to one of the most respected sushi chefs in Brazil, Jun Sakamoto, who made his vision go beyond sushi.
In 2018, he passed the test to work at the international restaurant Nobu, where he expanded his learning and gained more knowledge about the routine of a large restaurant.
In 2019, she sought a new vision and challenge, Washoku, and it was then that she came across the mastery of the work of the ambassador of Japanese cuisine in Brazil, Chef Telma Shiraishi, from the respected restaurant Aizome, located in São Paulo.
In 2020, she opened her own business, Omakase at Home, but with the onset of the pandemic, she had to reformulate her project and then Omakasebox was created, a take-away and delivery service in the São Paulo region.
At the end of 2021, she had the opportunity to immigrate to Portugal and work in renowned restaurants, one of them with chef Tiago Penão from Kappo in the city of Cascais, Portugal.
In mid-2024, he went to Japan, where he lived and expanded his knowledge of culture and gastronomy. He worked at Fukuoka's most famous restaurant, Sosakusushikappo Shime Sushi, run by chef Hirofumi Sasaki. He also worked at the 72kou restaurant run by one of Tokyo's most renowned chefs, Akio Saito, located inside the 5-star Tokyo Station Hotel.
Back in Lisbon, Éder is delighted to once again offer his Omakase at Home service, where he will share all his knowledge and stories from his 8-year career, all from the comfort of his own home.
